1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?

Enrolled in a distance education program.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I've forgotten what I resolved to do last year... but hopefully i'd keep my resolutions for this year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

My sis-in-law! My CWL friends! My cousin-in-law! My former boss!

4. Did anyone close to you die?

No... thank God.

5. What countries did you visit?

None :(

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?

More money for vacations. More savings. Better eating habits.

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

December 28, because I finally got to celebrate my wedding anniversary and it's the third one already!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Not going crazy from parenthood.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Lack of time management that made me decide to drop my masteral studies eventually... and now, am kinda bored without it.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Nope. More feelings of low self-esteem as I adjusted to not earning my own money and second-guessing my own self as a mom.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

I didn't buy it exactly but am loving Hedwig, my DSLR!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

Yakee... for sleeping through the night most times.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

A lot of politicians. My brother. Some friends and family members.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Food. Treats.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Planning my son's Harry Potter-themed birthday party :D

16. What song will always remind you of 2008?

You're My Number One (?) from the Nido commercial

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. happier or sadder? Happier
ii. thinner or fatter? just the same... i've gained back the pounds i've lost so am now back to 140 lbs. (i look less bloated I think)
iii. richer or poorer? poorer materially, richer intangibly :D

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

Slept better?

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?

Binge Eat... and I half-wish I didn't find that choco chip cookie recipe that had me addicted

20. Did you fall in love in 2008?

with the men in my life... over and over again

21. Who got together and who broke up?

Some friends got married. Some friends got separated.

22. What was your favorite TV program?

Gossip Girl :D

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

Hate is such a strong word, one I feel I can really only use for my beloved ones :D Not that I don't perpetually hate trapos and deadbeat dads and philanderers and similar jerks

24. What was the best book you read?

The Family Almanac and The Tales of Beedle the bard!!!

25. What was your greatest musical discovery?

That I can learn to love nursery rhymes :D

26. What did you finally throw away after years of safekeeping?

A lot of books and bridal magazines, old shirts and tops dating back to my HS days :D

27. Where did you planned to go but failed to do so?

Dapitan/Dakak with the family, due to lack of funds.

28. What did you want and got?

A closer, happier family life... and general good health.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?

Juno?

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

I turned 31 and we ate at dampa with my family. I also had my very own Alex Franco cake.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

If I had travelled somewhere and used a plane to get there :D

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?

Frumpy Mommy. :D

34. What kept you sane?

My darling husband, son, family, Harry Potter :D

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Chuck Bass? :D

36. What political issue stirred you the most?

Obama's presidency run.

my gimik buds

Abbie, new sis-in-law

"Deprived" is a relative term.
